Who we are?
Bluewater Australian Shipping Services (BASS) is an Australian shipping and maritime technology company. We are developing Australian-flagged cargo shipping operations with integrated autonomous maritime systems on key international trade routes. Headquartered in Melbourne, BASS is focused on the Asia–Australia trade corridor, with plans to expand into Pacific Island services, Australian coastal routes, and specialised vessel operations. We’re building this company because we see a clear path to making Australian shipping commercially competitive through autonomous technology, and because Australia’s shipping needs aren’t being met by anyone else.
Why we Exist
We provide a commercial path to providing Australia with a fleet that will be competitive on the world markets into the future. BASS was founded to accelerate the solution of an Australian fleet of commercial vessels. Bringing together proven autonomous technology and commercial shipping expertise to deliver Australian shipping capability at the pace the moment demands.
